Clamps & Connectors
Electrical connections that fail in the field don’t just create delays — they create outages, safety hazards, and costly repair work on live or recently de-energised lines. Clamps and connectors are among the most load-bearing components in any overhead distribution or transmission system, and the margin for error is exactly zero.
Viraatech International supplies a complete range of clamps and connectors for overhead line construction, conductor jointing, earthing, and aerial bundled cable systems. Every product we stock is sourced to meet IS, IEC, or BS specifications — so when it goes up on the line, it stays up.
What we supply
Pole Line Hardware & Accessories
Cross arms, brace irons, D-irons, pole bands, and all structural mounting hardware for overhead distribution and transmission poles.
Clamps & Connectors
Dead-end, suspension, wedge, and automatic dead-end clamps compatible with ACSR, AAC, and ABC conductors — rated for full mechanical and electrical load.
Conductor & Earthwire Accessories
Earth wire clamps, vibration dampers, conductor spacers, and all line accessories for overhead conductor management and protection.
Insulator & Hardware Fittings
Insulator caps, pins, clevis links, socket eyes, ball hooks, and complete fitting sets for disc, pin, and post insulators across HT and LT lines.
AB Cable Accessories
Suspension clamps, dead-end clamps, piercing connectors, service tees, and anchor brackets for aerial bundled cable (ABC) systems.
H.T. Switches, Fuses & Accessories
High-tension fuse cutouts, drop-out fuses, gang-operated switches, and associated mounting hardware for substation and pole-mounted switchgear.
Porcelain / Polymer Insulators
Pin, post, disc, and long-rod insulators in both glazed porcelain and polymer (silicone rubber) — suited for 11 kV to 220 kV applications.
Rubber Mats & Rubber Gloves
Electrical-grade anti-static rubber matting and insulating rubber gloves for substation floors, switchrooms, and live-line utility work — IS/IEC certified
Material quality and construction
Our clamps and connectors are manufactured from electrolytic-grade copper, aluminium alloy (6101 / 6061 series), and galvanised mild steel — selected for their electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and long-term resistance to corrosion in Indian field conditions.
Aluminium body clamps are anodised or treated with anti-oxidant compound to prevent contact surface oxidation. Fasteners are austenitic stainless steel or hot-dip galvanised to match the service life of the conductor hardware. All current-carrying surfaces are machined to smooth finish tolerances to ensure full contact area and minimum contact resistance at the joint.
Standards and compliance
All clamps and connectors we supply are manufactured to or tested against the following specifications:
- IS 5561 — Electric Power Connectors (Parallel Groove and Compression Type)
- IEC 61284 — Fittings for Overhead Power Lines
- IS 2121 — Conductors and Earth Wire Accessories for Overhead Power Lines
- BS 3288 — Insulator and Conductor Fittings for Overhead Power Lines
- IEC 60797 — Residual Strength of ABC Connector Hardware
Test certificates and third-party inspection reports are available on request for utility and government procurement. We work directly from project bill of materials (BOM) and can cross-reference specifications to ensure exact product matching before dispatch.
Serving projects of every scale
We’ve supplied clamp and connector hardware for rural electrification programmes spanning hundreds of kilometres, and for single-contractor repair jobs on storm-damaged feeders. The scale of the order doesn’t change our approach — every consignment is checked against specification before it leaves.
For large projects, our team can work directly from your BOM, flagging substitutions where a superior or equivalent product is available and coordinating phased delivery to site. For contractors who need a reliable yard supplier, we maintain inventory depth on the items that move fastest — PG clamps, compression joints, and earth clamps — so you’re not waiting on a resupply when the line crew is already up the pole.
The connections your network depends on should be the last thing you’re worried about on a job. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, and it’s what you should expect from every order.
